The Vigie Aviation DA 42 MPP is fitted with following systems:

• High definition camera (Flir Systems Star Safire HD) providing visible and infrared videos;
  
• High definition video recorder;
• Maritime transponder (AIS);
• Geographical information system;
• Real time video downlink
• Satellite communication satellite;
• Aeronautical and sailor VHF;

Thanks to the maritime transponder (AIS) and to the maritime mission system, the plane is especially design for airborne maritime surveillance.
